Against the backdrop of an increasingly polarised world, My Cuppa Tea strives to be a poignant reminder of the value of cross-cultural exchanges and open-mindedness.

It features a British lady whom, during her odyssey to obtain milk for her tea, is introduced to a milk-free tea tradition by a Turkish man. More importantly, the Turkish Man's gracious invitation offers our protagonist what she really needed – the warmth of a friend to enjoy her tea with. 

Originally crafted for the Straight 8 competition, we filmed My Cuppa Tea entirely in chronological order on a single Super8 cartridge, adhering to strict competition guidelines that prohibited retakes or post-production editing.
